The Martinique Flag was first adopted on May 1st, 1979.

Description: The Martinique flag is used locally only. The flag consists of a blue background with a white cross in the centre splitting the flag into four parts. Each of the four parts has a white snake in it. The flag of France is the official flag of Martinique.

Description: The Marshall Islands flag is predominantly blue with two orange (at top) and white stripes radiating from the lower hoist-side corner. There is a white star with four large rays and 20 small rays on the hoist side above the two stripes.

The crescent and the star are featured as they are traditional symbols of Islam, the most popular religion in Malaysia. The design of the flag is havily influenced by the flag of the US.
